Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to design and develop advanced electronic solutions. This role focuses on crafting reliable, cutting-edge systems and contributing to the development of etch products within a global product group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex electrical systems and sub-systems, utilizing engineering methodologies.
- Contribute to research and development initiatives by collecting and analyzing data to enhance electrical designs.
- Develop functional specifications for intricate electrical/electromechanical systems and power distribution components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and refine custom and OEM system components.
- Perform hands-on testing and validation using lab equipment to characterize system performance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and technical presentations for diverse audiences during design reviews.
- Act as a mentor and resource for junior colleagues, fostering team growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
- Proficiency in electronic circuit design (analog, digital), signal/control theory, electrical board design, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of AC/DC power distribution systems.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical architecture, system integration, and applications.
- Expertise in PCB and low-voltage circuit design for power and control applications.
- Experience in applying power and control technologies for systems automation.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, AutoCAD, Spice, ADS, HFSS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to define functional requirements and thrive in dynamic team environments.
- Familiarity with design principles for serviceability, manufacturability, and reliability.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as network sniffers, protocol analyzers, and tool logs.
- Problem-solving experience with techniques such as 5-why, 8D, and fishbone analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, including technical presentation expertise.
- Experience in the semiconductor or related industries (industrial, automotive, military).
